9CrSi is a mass produced low alloy steel material mainly applied to blades and knifes. The material is endowed with high hardenability and hardening capacity as well as tempering stability. 9CrSi is used to produce tools with sophisticated shape, low deformability and high abrasion endurance that cuts at moderate speed, including drills, thread tools, reamers, dies, taps, thread rolling board and rolling wheels.

Feature and Application
65Mn bears high intensity and considerable toughness and plasticity after heating, cold drawing and hardening. The steel material has the same fatigue limit as that of alloy springs under the same surface state after being completely quenched. However, the hardenability of the product is limited, thus the the material is mainly applied to manufacture springs of small size, such as speed regulating springs, spring dynamo-meters, round and square spiral springs on regular machinery and (after being drawn to wire) springs on small machinery.

Cr12 belongs to Ledeburitic steel with high carbon and high chromium. The material is a widely used cold work tool steel that has high intensity, hardenability, hot working capability and abrasion endurance, but its impact toughness is limited. It is mainly used to manufacture all kinds of cold work molds with complex shape under harsh working condition, including punch heads, cold cutting scissors, drill bushes, gauges, wire drawing sheets, drawing dies, thread rolling dies, etc. During our research upon the material, we design a special smelting, forging and ingoting fabrication process after repetitive exploration and experimentation, which achieves an even texture of the material. Besides we further process the standard substance, using double-blade cutting to significantly enhance efficiency, reduce production period and lower the expense.

Material Name: LD cold work tool steel
LD steel is a kind of high toughness cold work tool steel developed by Shanghai Research Institute of Materials. It is originally designed to manufacture cold heading die, and is thus named after the abbreviation of cold heading die's pin yin. The material steel is recommended by Chinese machinery trade standard JB/T 6058-92. LD steel is advised to use in making cold heading dies, cold extrusion dies and cold punching dies that require high toughness.
LD steel has high toughness, wear resistance and bending strength, good hot and cold machinability as well as small heat deformation, resulting in high applicability. The capability of LD steel is significantly better than Cr12(high carbon) and 6Mo5Cr4V2. It is widely applied to manufacture cold heading dies for screw bolts, punching dies for automobile springs, cold extrusion dies for bicycle bottom brackets, silicon steel sheet punching dies and dozens more, with service life 10 times or even dozens of times as long as dies made of steel material originally used(Cr12MoV, W18Cr4V, W6Mo5Cr4V2, Cr12, GCr15, 9SiCr).

SKD-11 belongs to cold work tool steel, high carbon high chromium alloy steel and vacuum-degassed steel, with high purity, high hardenability, small quenching deformability and good hardening capacity. The material steel is processed by spheroidizing annealing, resulting in high machinability and small and even carbide particle distribution in the material, with no need to care about fracturing during quenching. SKD-11 is further enchanted by adding into in elements such as Mo and V.

The material is a cold work tool steel that achieves balance between intensity, toughness and heat resistance. With development in isotropy products, the material has improved significantly in toughness, which extends the service life of dies made from it, stabilizes their capability, makes them easy to process and keeps their deformation under heat treatment small.
SKD-11 bears good intensity under high temperature and toughness, high wear endurance and easiness to cut.
The material has extremely small deformation under heat treatment, resulting in small quenching deformation, thus is suitable for dies with high precision requirements. The steel has good hardenability, so there is no need to worry about fracturing during quenching. The innate purity of SKD-11 is ensured through vacuum-degassed refining. The material has high abrasion resistance, which makes it suitable for manufacturing blanking dies for materials of high hardness.
Besides, SKD-11 also features high machinability and toughness.
